RSD WORKFLOW

RSD takes the dentist through uniquely designed digital workflows customized to each person's specific esthetic requirements. We help the dentist move effortlessly towards the visualized clinical outcome. With RSD, mastering the digital workflow in dentistry and achieving great clinical results will be easily achievable for every dentist.

RSD works through 6 Ps:

Patient data & digitalization

How well you collect the data is of paramount importance. Collect patient photos, videos, face-scans, intraoral scans or physical impressions, and CBCT Dicom data.

Prepare the design

The next step is to visualize the end-result. The keyword here is 'what?'. In other words, 'what do you wish to achieve in the end?' This step involves facially driven smile design prepared in 2D and 3D using Natural Algorithms.

Plan the treatment

The keyword here is 'how.' In other words, 'how will you achieve the end-result designed in the previous step?' We create the ideal treatment plans customized to each patient based on facially driven smile design. The necessary 3 D printed or milled template designs in STL format are shared which you can produce with in-house support or alternately by our digital lab and delivered to you.

Present

Once the treatment plan is ready, present it to the patient using visual communication methods. What you see is what you believe. Seeing the end-result enables the patients to see how they will look after the treatment and how the procedure will solve their problems. This leads to better case acceptance.

Perform

To integrate our planning, start executing the accepted treatment plan using template dentistry. RSD helps you achieve the results with 3D printed / 3D milled templates based on innovative copy paste dentistry workflow. We use 'copy-paste digital technology' that allows seamless integration between biology, function, and natural aesthetics.

TECHNOLOGY ASPECTS

Digital Dentistry & Digital Technologies

Digital dentistry involves any dental technology or device that incorporates digital or computer-controlled components instead of mechanical or electrical.

Digital technologies and digital dentistry have significantly benefited patients by reducing the treatment time, enhancing precision, and improving the treatment outcome. They also improve the clinician's communication with his patients, lab technicians, and his associates. Improved communication, especially visual communication, enhances diagnostic accuracy and treatment plans and significantly improves patients' treatment acceptance.

Intraoral Scanner

An intraoral scanner captures direct optical impressions by projecting a light source onto the area to be scanned. An imaging sensor captures the images. A scanning software processes these images, producing a 3D surface model. You get digital impressions of the patient's oral cavity; thus, intraoral scanners remove the need for conventional impression trays.

Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

A Cone-beam CT is a rotating X-ray machine that provides a 3D view of teeth, jaw bones and oral anatomy. It also identifies oral conditions that are not easily detected by regular X-ray procedures. CBCT imaging is of great help while planning procedures, such as bone grafting, in areas of less bone availability.

Computer-Aided Design/ Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and 3D Printing

CAD/ CAM and 3D printing have made restorative dentistry and esthetic dentistry easier and effective for practitioners. They can now design and manufacture dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges, and veneers and deliver them to the patients on the same day. Traditionally, a dental laboratory would make these restorations, and the process would take a week or more. The new technology enables the patient to receive the final restoration within a day.

One major limitation of digital dentistry is the cost involved. Technology is evolving rapidly, and to adopt every newly emerging technology requires a higher capital investment. This is exactly where Rich Smile Design (RSD) comes to your help. Start integrating digital workflows in your practice without having to worry about expensive technologies.

"Our aim is to provide a complete 3D Digital Planning based on facially driven smile parameters. Our specially designed templates allow you to execute the approved planning effortlessly thereby providing seamless, natural looking, and aesthetic, monolithic solutions in the end that exactly mimic the ones approved at the planning stage."
